- Something similar, if not identical, was used in Mel Brooks' remake of
- "To Be Or Not To Be". At the beginning of the movie, all of the dialogue is
- in Polish, I believe with subtitles. After a couple of minutes, however, there
- is an announcement over the theatre's PA system (the theatre in the movie, not
- the theatre the movie is playing in) announcing that, to prevent confusion the
- remainder of the film will be in English. As the announcement is made, all the
- characters stop talking and look around. Afterward, they resume speaking - in
- English.
-
- Amusing, but I still prefer the Benny/Bancroft version.
