  38. Well, there is an earlier one: "Die Nibelungen" by Fritz Lang (Two Parts:
  39. "Siegfried" and "Kriemhilds Rache" (engl.: Kriemhildes Revenge). The two parts
  40. together cover roughly the medivial german "Nibelungen Tale".
