  36. "Rosebud" was the name of his sled that he had as a boy. It was
  37. his link to a childhood he lost and could never regain. It was
  38. significant in the scene where he was a boy playing outside
  39. in the snow when his mother signs the paper allowing the banker
  40. to adopt him. The sled is left outside to be buried in the falling
  41. snow.
