- "Rosebud" was the name of his sled that he had as a boy. It was
- his link to a childhood he lost and could never regain. It was
- significant in the scene where he was a boy playing outside
- in the snow when his mother signs the paper allowing the banker
- to adopt him. The sled is left outside to be buried in the falling
- snow.
