- Well, with this thread going, I feel I have to share something I encountered
- at my BB (it was annoying, but not enought to stop going):
- One weekend I got SERIOUSLY into a Mel Brooks mood, so I headed to BB to
- grab some of the good stuff. When I got there, I couldn't find Blazing
- Saddles on the rental shelves, EVEN THOUGH IT WAS FOR _SALE_ THERE. I went
- up to the counter, and asked if they carried Blazing Saddles. After looking
- it up the girl said "no". Tongue firmly in cheek I asked her something like
- "You seriously expect me to believe you don't rent a movie you sell?" I got a
- patented salesdrone blank stare and then proceeded to grab a copy of Saddles
- off the for sale rack. Here's the kicker: even after going all the way up to
- teh manager, THEY COULDN'T TAKE THE TAPE OFF ONE SHELF AND TURN IT INTO A
- RENTAL TAPE!!! So, I scrapped it, went to Wal-Mart, and watched Blazing
- Saddles about 4 times in a row.
-
- Also, I too have noticed the strangely low Employee to line ratio...
