- I have a friend who does freelance lighting for film and video, and he has
- mentioned something to the effect that everything that is filmed for a movie is
- videotaped at the same time (Beta format is preferred) so that essentially the
- dailies are available immediately.

- I've never really interrogated him about this. Does anyone know how universal
- this practice is, or the details about how it is done?
