- Okay, I've got to bite here - apologies if it's the wrong newsgroup, but then
- I didn't start it (there's a bit of school yard logic right off). What
- "provoked" my statement was the posturing of dear old William who seems
- desperately in need of a screening of "The Life of Brian" or perhaps even
- "The Last Temptation of Christ" (that is if his good book does not prohibit
- it). Whether or not he is "correct" in his religious intrepretation is, I
- should imagine, quite another matter, certainly involving a little more than
- the perusal of a single volume of dubiously translated material. I responded
- to the perceptible assertion in Bill's posting that if the big J.C. voted in
- the last U.S. presidential election he would have been a Bush man.
-
- That was about it. Now if Herr Marchese wants to get all huffy and slag off
- the small little islands of my birth he is most welcome, although I can't see
- how the good gentlemen could possibly link it to my original posting. We in
- New Zealand are quite accustomed to sheep jokes, and the nuclear policy is
- about to be thrown out the window anyway (not that it particularly bothers me
- one way or the other). If I were to be tempted down to that low level myself
- I could of course remember the immortal words of Basil Fawlty and "not mention
- the war".
-
- Yours in christian brotherhood (even if they did steal the holiday off the
- pagans),
- Richard.
