- Hello all:
-
- I am in the middle of a critical study on the depiction of science and
- scientists in the movies (I've written to this newsgroup before regarding
- the project), and I would appreciate some feedback in terms of how you
- think science is portrayed in the movies. A brief paragraph of your
- impression would do fine, but you can elaborate if you are inclined to.
- I would like to see what you think in terms of, for instance, the
- accuracy or sophistication of the science shown, the image of the
- scientist as being a good guy or a bad guy, whether science is shown
- to be good or evil, etc.
-
- Your feedback will form part of the corpus of data I will be using
- to draw conclusions on the image of science in the movies. Part of
- the work has also been to screen movies that feature in some
- way science and scientists in the story. I list below the movies
- I've viewed so far. Please, if you can think of any other, email
- me. I would appreciate it.
-
- Thanks,
- Ahmed
