  12. On the thread of interesting marching accidents...

  14. My favorite in high school had to be the day our two lead trumpets 
  15. marched forward out of formation to do a little duet in the middle
  16. of a piece...  They had to pass right by the baton twirlers, who
  17. all had streamers attached to their batons...  Poor Linnie was just
  18. innocently marching by them when a passing streamer not only went
  19. around her neck, but tangled itself on her trumpet as well!!  She
  20. was almost pulled over backwards!  (You should have SEEN the look
  21. on her face as she tried to gracefully extricate herself from
  22. the mess...)
