- I think John Peel might have beat you to that theory in the Gallifrey
- Chronicles. How about this for an alternate: the TARDIS operates on
- artron energy (the energy produced by the mind, BTW, in Doctor Who),
- which is beamed from Gallifrey via the Eye of Harmony. Perhaps the
- TARDIS, in its symbiotic attachment to the Doctor (and, to a lesser
- extent, its other passangers), saps the sex drive? This might by why,
- when they do fall in love, companions are almost instantly enarmoured
- and ready to get married. A lot of pent-up stuff.
