- No... I'm not talking about in-jokes, here. Rather, I'm interested in
- books and articles on the behind-the-scenes struggles.
-
- So far, I've found three very good articles.
- Entertainment Tonight had a cover story on Aladdin, including detail
- of all the changes that the script went through. Plus, a sidebar
- describing the six songs that were cut from the film and why.
-
- Premiere magazine--the issue with the Dracula cover.
-
- $25 coffeetable book "The Making of Aladdin" Actually, I'm more
- interested in the info in the articles. Chief problems: 1) No
- mention of Robin Williams name--and their contortions to avoid his
- name distract. 2) Too much personality driven, rather than focussing
- on the process. I'm far more interested in the behind the scene
- battles that they discuss in the other articles, than I am in twelve
- pages of Linda Larkin's voice auditions.
- [Also, I must mention one of the funnier typos: Oliver & Company
- featured "a pack of dogs as _Fabian's_ gang"]
-
- Any other good sources of information?
