- I saw it in person. Overall, my family and I thought it was okay, but
- nothing special. There were some nice floats and costumes based on
- Aladdin, and we particularly liked the wooden soldiers. But we got
- sick of that cheesy musical theme (repeated OVER and OVER and OVER)
- very quickly.

- Moving to another topic: During our last few visits to Walt Disney
- World, we've noticed an increasing number of "chinks in the Disney
- magic", so to speak. Some examples, from our most recent trip:
-
- 1) While watching Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Parade, some young
- children near us became very excited and one ran across the street.
- One of the usher/crowd control people firmly grabbed the child,
- walked him back across, and muttered "Can't you folks control your
- own kid?"
-
- 2) While riding the tram from Epcot to the parking lot, the
- conductor/announcer said something like "... we'll be stopping
- at Energy and Harvest momentarily- we do this all day long..."
-
- 3) The announcer for the jungle cruise ride did his spiel in
- a blatantly sarcastic manner. It WAS late in the evening, but
- his bitterness was rather unexpected.
