  20. I tend to agree. The really nice thing about the TPB for Harbinger was
  21. that even though I bought the original books for interest sake, and
  22. wasn't terribly thrilled with them, the fact that someone was willing to
  23. pay me $135 for them _and_ give me a TPB with the same content as the
  24. originals I was selling had a certain appeal....

  30. Agreed. My collection is pretty large (although that's a relative term
  31. on r.a.c), and easily worth several thousand dollars. But I really
  32. couldn't care less (other than on insurance forms) because they were
  33. bought to be read and enjoyed, not as investments. That's why I applaud
  34. the introduction of such things as the Marvel Masterworks and the DC
  35. Archives; although expensive, they allow new readers to enjoy books that
  36. were previously unattainable.

  44. Yes, but that's the fault of these #0 issues and trading card scams; it
  45. is not an inherant problem with TPBs. If the series doesn't start off
  46. with such gimmicks, then there is no problem.
