- I looked this up in a dictionary of saints. It's pretty much like Gilbert
- describes it. Joseph of Cupertino supposedly could levitate and fly. He
- was also fairly stupid. He only came to the monastery after failing at
- several other jobs. He was taken in by the monks to clean the stables
- and tend to the horses. Somewhere along the line he demonstrated the
- ability to handle divinity studies and later displayed his aeronautic
- skills. It is said the rest of the brothers weren't happy about the
- attention that he received and so he was occasionally roughed up.
