- Some of the (fairly) early apocraphal works portray Jesus' birth as in a
- cave. This corresponds to some "pagan" belief myths and are quite interesting.
- If someone is interested, one might try _The Lost Books of the Bible_ or
- _The Oxford Annotated Apocrypha_. _The Nag Hammadri Library_ is another
- source for non-standard early "Christian" ideology as is _The Other Bible_
- (both have lots of Gnostic stuff).
