  14. I used to reserve nonfiction for bedtime reading and fiction for
  15. weekend or evening entertainment, so that I'd have (at least) one of
  16. each in progress at any given time.  But a while back I noticed that I
  17. was buying history books faster than I was reading them (I guess they
  18. were too effective at putting me to sleep!), so the past couple of
  19. months I've switched over to reading fiction and nonfiction
  20. alternately and trying to finish each book before starting the next.
