  23.     Another good one is Alan Le May's *The Searchers*, written
  24. *before* the movie and different in several interesting details.

  26.     I mentioned Oakley Hall's *Warlock* and *Apaches* in a
  27. previous post and would add that Hall is the philosopher/poet of the
  28. Western. *Warlock* is a marvelous book.

  30.     Also I mentioned *Corey Lane* by Norman Zollinger. The plot
  31. here will be very familiar for anyone with a passing acquaintance with
  32. Shakespeare's Roman plays.
