- Another good one is Alan Le May's *The Searchers*, written
- *before* the movie and different in several interesting details.

- I mentioned Oakley Hall's *Warlock* and *Apaches* in a
- previous post and would add that Hall is the philosopher/poet of the
- Western. *Warlock* is a marvelous book.

- Also I mentioned *Corey Lane* by Norman Zollinger. The plot
- here will be very familiar for anyone with a passing acquaintance with
- Shakespeare's Roman plays.
