- Which Civil War? On one hand, you mention American history,
- so this would lead me to believe you mean American Civil War.
- However, you are also talking about Magna Carta, so perhaps
- you mean the English Civil Wars. Please clarify.

- easily recommend half a dozen good books on the period 1776-1790
- and a dozen on the American Civil War and the times leading up
- to it.
