- I greatly enjoyed this book and another that Lorenz wrote on animal
- behavior (_On Aggression_?) when I read them several years ago. Then
- I read that Lorenz was an avid Nazi, and that the essay he wrote about
- dogs being divided into wolfs and hyenas was used as eugenics
- propaganda in the WWII era. My reaction was similar to the recent
- _Little Tree_ discussion; I still remembered the books as informative
- and entertaining, but my warm feelings towards Lorenz are gone for
- good! Too bad since he looked adorable with all those baby geese
- following him.
