  15. This quarter's issue has a small blurb about piercing as
  16. the "new trend". No news for piercing afficianados, but
  17. a good read. The big question seems to be "what will those
  18. crazy kids think of next?" Check it out.

  20. Also, re: keloids. The ifo I've heard, tho' not specific
  21. to piercings is -- the darker your skin type, the more
  22. your chance of keloids. People w/ "olive skin" are advised
  23. against face lifts/liposuction due to risk of severe
  24. scarring. Same goes for darker skin types. Being light
  25. skinned myself, I haven't come up against any personally w/ 
  26. my piercings, but my more olive skinned sister has had more
  27. [tho' not too severe] scarring w/ her navel pierce.
