I've wanted to get a tattoo or two for quite a long time.  You've all probably heard this story before, but please bear with me.  I'm nervous about the pain factor.  Does anyone have any words of encouragement?  Can anyone even explain the process in-depth for me?  I'm sure there are others lurking in the wings, waiting to hear the answers to these questions.
