- Mine has done this a couple of times.
-
- what you are seeing is the pierce channel, and it is the tube of flesh that
- forms on the ring has part of the healing process. and once it rips and sticks
- to the jewelry the skin starts to die, and a new channel starts to form.
-
- to avoid it, soak your jewelry if it doesn't turn/move freely. Soak it alot.
- and if/when it does happen, go back to cleaning it a daily/couple times a day
- for a while, just to help remove any of the old channel and to help prevent
- infection (not sure how likely an infection is from this)
-
- good luck.
