  13. Funny, but I realized that one tattoo artist wasn't for me
  14. when I started looking at all the strange nightmares I had
  15. about his work.  The first one was right after I got my dagger
  16. done, and I had this strange dream about how he had put his
  17. own energy into it, and was intending to use it as a ritual
  18. tie to me, and I had the task of fighting the power in the tat
  19. and making it MINE, so that not only he couldn't control me through 
  20. it, but it was MY OWN power design.

  22. Since then I have had several nightmares about this same tat
  23. artist.  Some involve his head trips, just sort of an extreme
  24. replaying of his mutters about "This will show my brother I'm as
  25. good as he is!" and "This is going to be one of my prize
  26. pieces.  This will be the tat that makes my reputation!"
  27. Where I'm just the canvas for his demented aspirations to
  28. greatness.

  30. The really *weird* nightmares were about how he was dedicating
  31. the pain to some strange ritual that was kind of vaguely
  32. related to sex magic, except pain magic, and using it to build
  33. his personal power.  After those started, I decided not to go
  34. back to the guy.  Obviously, he and I don't have compatible
  35. world views, and my subconcious is telling me something.  
  36.  
  37. On the other hand, I've had some really great dreams about
  38. getting tats from an artist I like, and some great dreams
  39. about getting tats from artists I've never met.  Those are
  40. very pleasant.  It was only this one guy who gave me
  41. nightmares.
