  22. Are you sure it was _Perfect_ Collection?  I haven't seen it ANYWHERE.
  23. Personally, I think that Macek has underestimated the time and effort it takes
  24. to subtitle something.  Did he really expect to subtitle 6 total episodes 
  25. a month?  He wasn't even able to make the regular editions on schedule.
  26. If we DO eventually see the first perfect collections coming out, they will
  27. surely be interrupted later on.  Actually, I don't think Macek has EVER
  28. subtitled anything.  Which makes it all the harder for him to 
  29. make them on time.

  33. If there was EVER any proof that Macek doesn't give a flying fig about
  34. the fans, it's the way he's marketing the Robotech collections.  I was happy
  35. to hear that he was subbing the episod for a special release, but 
  36. then was quickly unhappy to hear that they were to be released as 2
  37. dubbed + 2 subbed as opposed to 4 subbed per tape.  Idiocy.  I can't even 
  38. see how he could BEGIN to defend this type of marketing.  To compare the
  39. episodes?  Hey, if I wanted to compare the episodes, I'd only have to
  40. buy the dubbed tape along with the subbed (if he were to release it as
  41. 4 subbed per tape).  It would cost the same amount for the same number
  42. of episodes and on the same number of tapes.  But no, if I want to
  43. have the complete subbed Macross, I have to buy 18 tapes as opposed to
  44. 9.  Plus, if I want to watch the shows in order in a sitting, I have
  45. to fast forward to the subbed episodes every time I switch tapes.  
  46. He's a certified jerk, plain and simple.  I refuse to support this.  I'd
  47. like to see the subs very much, but I will not spend any of my money on 
  48. it.  It's an inferior product.  I hope one person buys it and it gets 
  49. sold over and over and over on the net so everybody who wants to can see it
  50. but Macek gets one sale.  Heh, that'd be funny.

  52. WHAT IF STREAMLINE HAD MARKETED THE BGC LASERDISKS?
  53.   BGC collection disk 1: English dubbed versionof episode 1 on side one.  
  54.                         Spanish dubbed version side 2.
  55.   BGC perfect disk 1: English subbed episode 1 side one
  56.                       Spanish dubbed episode 1 side two
  57.   BGC Mr. Rogers collection disk 1 : Mr. Rogers episode side one
  58.                                      BGC subbed and in stereo side two
