  15.     So far we have had three guest changes. Go Nagai confirmed and 12 hours
  16. later had to unconfirm. We got that info out as quickly as possible. I have
  17. spoken to him for a total of about 9 hours since then and had dinner with him
  18. twice. He is *really* sorry he can't make it this year and said he would love
  19. to come in '94. That's it in a nutshell.

  21.     Trish quit both Con staffs on December 6th, so we took her off the guest
  22. list. Matt was taken off the guest list a few days later. Whether or not
  23. they'll show up as press is anybody's guess. Neither she nor Matt asked to be
  24. taken off. It was just assumed. I asked James to give Toshi a call this
  25. weekend to get the official info.

  27.     Would you like to see more American comic artists? I've talked to Jason
  28. Waltrip (Robotech Sentinels, Metal Bikini) about coming. I should probably
  29. call him again this week. When we initially announced a lot of Americans
  30. I got an earfull. Also, we're not listing the attending American industry
  31. professionals as guests, which has been done in past years.

  33.     As for Con memberships, we don't have a whole hell of a lot of them. The
  34. Treasurer is in Japan right now, so I can't give you an exact figure. As we
  35. have only had useful publicity out for about a month and a half, we aren't
  36. doing too badly. I'm pretty sure Expo has more memberships because they got
  37. a lot at Expo '92 and a bunch more at San Diego ComiCon. As these things go,
  38. most pre-reg memberships roll in the day before a price deadline. Our first
  39. price increase is 15 January.

  41.     After meeting Monkey Punch and touring his studio, I can see why he's one
  42. of your heroes. Not only is he a fabulous artist (he's currently working
  43. on a manga adaptation of the Arabian Nights and it's *tremendously* detailed
  44. artwork) but he's a really fun guy to be around. I'd wager that he's the life
  45. of any party he's invited to. The AnAm BoD chatted with him at his studio for
  46. five straight hours. He's also a Macintosh dude, so he instantly earned my
  47. respect. (^_^)
