  15.         AnimEigo announces licensing of "AD POLICE Files"
  16.             and "Ten Little Gal Force"

  20. AnimEigo, the leading releaser of subtitled Japanese Animation in the United
  21. States, today announced the licensing of the 3 "AD Police Files" Science
  22. Fiction OVA (Original Video Animations) from Artmic and Bandai Visual, and
  23. "Ten Little Gal Force," a "super-deformed parody," from Toho International.

  25. "AD Police" is set in the same "future history" as AnimEigo's smash-hit
  26. "Bubblegum Crisis" and "Bubblegum Crash" OVA series.  Taking place in the
  27. mid-2020's, the AD Police Files chronicle 3 investigations involving rookie
  28. AD (Advanced) Police officer Leon McNichol, as he and his comrades attempt
  29. to cope with the criminal consequences of the Genom Corporation's artifically
  30. intelligent androids, the "Boomers."

  32. "The tone of AD Police is darker and more adult than Bubblegum Crisis," said
  33. AnimEigo VP Roe Adams, "and as such, the OVAs are intended for mature
  34. audiences.  AD Police paints a compelling picture of the dark side of a
  35. future where technology has gone wild."

  37. AnimEigo's other new license, "Ten Little Gal Force," is a slapstick parody
  38. of one of Japan's hit OVA and movie series, "Gal Force."  "Ten Little Gal
  39. Force" is a "super-deformed" parody; a category unique to Japan, where the
  40. creators of the original series get together and parody their own creation,
  41. using an exaggerated, cartoony style of drawing the characters.

  43. "Ten Little Gal Force" will be packaged together with another "super-deformed"
  44. parody, the previously announced "Scramble Wars," thus providing a double-
  45. dose of deformed dementia.
