  13. As many of you may know, the soundtrack of our first Bubblegum
  14. Crisis Laserdisc was mastered without noise-reduction processing.
  15. The result is a low-level hissing sound that may be noticable
  16. on some equipment.
  17.  
  18. The LD is being remastered, and a new pressing of the LD is being
  19. made.  The new discs will be available mid-January.
  20.  
  21. All current orders are being held, pending the arrival of the
  22. new discs.
  23.  
  24. The disc manufacturer has graciously provided us with a limited
  25. number of replacement discs.  If you have one of the original
  26. BGC LD #1's, and you find the sound quality to be unacceptable
  27. to you, you may apply for a free replacement in the following
  28. manner:

  30. 1) Call, write, or Email (72447.37@compuserve.com) our U.S. Office
  31.    and tell them you want to return your disc.
  32.  
  33.    You will be given a return authorization number.
  34.  
  35. 2) Mail your disc and sleeve back to AnimEigo.  As we will not
  36.    have the replacement discs for about 3 weeks, do not mail
  37.    your disc before January 15th.

  39.    Please remember to mention your return authorization number.

  41. On behalf of everyone at AnimEigo, we would like to apologise for
  42. this unfortunate mistake.  Steps have already been taken to
  43. ensure that the chain of events that lead to the improper LD
  44. mastering cannot occur again.

  51. Technical Note: The audio on LD #1 is still Dolby A processed;
  52. therefore, if your stereo system has the ability to Dolby decode
  53. an incoming audio signal, you may be able to noise-reduce the
  54. disc when you play it.
