  21.     You've answered your own question right there..  you don't
  22. identify with the characters, which is why it must not have the effect
  23. on you..  As a movie by itself, "Ano Hi Ni Kaeritai" isn't more than
  24. a very slow and very uninteresting movie at best.  It is not at all a
  25. very memorable movie.
  26.     As the conclusion to a series spanning 3-4 years of the "spring-
  27. time of their youth", it's pretty damned sad.  I was fortunate to watch
  28. all of the episodes & oav's as well as get tidbits here and there from
  29. the manga (thanks Eric Shen) which also helped..   The biggest thing that
  30. makes KOR so sad is when you relate the story and the experience to
  31. reality; your own reality..
  32.     Madoka's move to throw her lifelong friend away in pursuit of
  33. love is sad enough by itself.  It gives me shivers to just type that
  34. line out.
