- I disagree. I saw three of the movies after only reading a brief
- character and movie synopsis (which didn't cover who all these people
- were) and enjoyed myself. Hell, UY 4 was my second exposure to UY and
- I liked that! On the other hand, this was in my anime-junkie phase
- and the earliest Star Trek I remember seeing is STII:The Wrath of Khan
- and loving it, so take my recommendations with an appropriately sized
- grain of salt.

- The fourth and probably the second UY movie will confuse you, but that's
- natural - they (particularly the former) confuse everybody. I think the
- odd(-numbered) movies can be appreciated without any knowledge of UY.
