Episodes from Monster Circus, by Hino Hideshi.  Horrific, but relatively
innocent style.  32 pages each:

-Devil-mom/devil-son
-fog-man
-two-faced devil

-unstoppable clown
-butterfly princess
-abominable snowman

Where, monster entertainers for a travelling circus inevitably meet their
fate....

Now, moving on to our hard-core selections....

OK, here is the list of Maruo Suehiro's works:

1. Planet of the Jap -- Japan wins WW2, conquers US.  29 pages.

2. Sojin -- Terminator transposed into Shanghai of the 1930s.  13 pages.
What is valuable is not so much the plot but the artwork and anachronism.

3. Denki Ari (Electronic Ants) -- The ultimate modernist nightmare.  A high-
school boy is trapped studying for his entrance exams in industrial
suroundings,
of monstrous machines and thunderous clangs; he loses his sanity.  Shows the
disintegration of the world from his point of view; 35 pages.

4. Gansaku Denki Ari (counterfeit electronic ants)  -- has nothing to do with
#3.  The complete work of the standard sample I am sending to people, 21 pg.
Dadaist cyberpunk-sci fi.  Android man in business suit quests for his
former self in a desolate urban landscape.

5. Victory of Will -- 30 pages.  Boy joins SS in Nazi Germany, against his
father's advice.  Media manipulation for high-tech effects.  Rape scene,
plenty of heads blowing off (both drawn and actual photographs).

6. "Die Andere Seite" (My Youth) -- 14 pages.  One of Maruo's most artistic
works.  Surrealist comic-collage of post-WW2 reconstruction, drawing from
images worldwide.

7. Apparition -- 8 pages.  Set circa 1950.  Son kills his mother, when his
long-last dad walks in posing as an encyclopedia salesman.

8. Secret Pleasure of the Proletariat -- 16 pages.  Circa late 1940's.
Boy lives next door to war-vet man who abuses his daughter (about 20).
Boys get together to kill the alcoholic dad & rape his daughter.  Defies
stereotype of Japanese as nice community-oriented people.  Includes
scene where dad blinds daughter's eyes with needle.  One of his most violent
works, or for that matter anywhere.

9. Vampire -- 18 pages.  No sex, but includes homoerotic and Oedipal themes.
Ravages of a teenage vampire boy in 1940's (?) Japan.

10. DDT for the rotten vagina -- 8 pages.  I warn you, it is one of his
most tasteless works.  Account of author's teenage years as a budding artist.

11. Tentatively Impotent Lovers -- 8 pages.  Girl mutilates his dead BF's
body, scooping his eyeball out w/ a spoon; puts eyeball down there.
Then she punctures her own eyes, fellates his corpse, and stabs herself
down there with scissors.

12. Tentatively Impotent Lovers II-- 8 pages.  College Lovers in 1940's Japan,
S&M/bondage/razor blade.  Boy slices up girl.

13. Messenger from the Moon -- 16 pages.  Doctor & his nurse at a cosmetic-
surgery clinic does wonderful things to their patients.

14. My name is Minus -- 32 pages.  1920s/30s Japan; depictions of
transvestites/prostitute's lives, with of course Maruo's very extreme perspec.

15. Moon Desert -- 8 pages.  Boy gets lost in desert.  Completely meaningless
work.

16. Cough -- 16 pages.  Japanese drug dealer in contemporary US runs pot for
other Japanese tourists; clinical still-life (lifeless) depiction of modern
America (circa 1980s).

17. Pigsty -- 16 pages.  Old couple's sex-life in reconstruction-era
Japan, when public hygiene was far from adequate.  Bugs crawling all over.

18. "Suneko Tanpako" (gibberish word) -- S&M sex between grown woman &
dwarf man (around 50).  8 pages.

19. Black Sunday -- 12 pages.  Includes title page of video photocopy of
fly-infested dead yuppie.  A memoir of the 1981 cannibalist incident
in Paris where a young Japanese man killed & ate a French woman.

20. Shonen Gaho (name of popular boy's magazine in 1950's) -- 10 pages.
Horrific account of little-boy life in 1950s Japan, getting his picture-
cards stolen, witnessing his parents' sex, traumatized by a horror movie,
drinking Vitamin-D fortified skim milk in school (w/ low retention rate).

21. Snake Boy -- 4 pages.  High-school boy thinks his GF is so cute, he
could swallow her whole....

22. Poison Snake -- 30 pages.  Partitioned into 3 parts, so can negotiate
for part-by-part order.  A severe satire of 70s star-singer Yamaguchi
Momoe, depicting her as a sociopathic teenager.

23. Sleeping Man -- 20 pages.  His reinterpretation of 1941 German film "M",
life of a serial killer.  A kind of spiritual distillation, if you will.

24. Joy Division -- 6 pages.  Hitler & his 6-foot long dong with Eva Brown.
But he gets beaten up at the end by her.

25. Banzai to Death -- 8 pages.  Anarchist rock Star Michiro (The Stalins
band) (Maruo's gift to Michiro) is a Japanese Imperial Army soldierwho
deserts from the front lines; his mom gets raped by a GI; apparently set
in Iwo Jima; extremely violent.

26. SOS Boy -- 25 pages.  Modernist nightmare.  Avoidant-personality
disorder boy, hid drug-addict unemployed dad, his comatose & pregnant mom,
live surrounded by an industrial-complex nightmare.

27. Tojo -- 8 pages.  Tojo's wife slips in his head & breaks his neck.

28. Goodbye Showa -- 4 pages.  His most politically provacative work.
An extreme parody of the pending death of Emperor Hirohito (who died in '89).

29. Goodbye-Hoffman -- 30 pages.  His prototype idea for a adventure
serial (which apparently never materialized); boy-hero (& his sister & dad)
can transform himself into anybody by contorting his face.  Protects
company president's brat son, for an extraordinary fee.

Moving beyond Mr. Maruo Suehiro's world to the equally disturbing world
of Dirty Matsumoto's S&M/bondage comics:

30. Eye Socket Love --   27 pages.  Upper-class setting.

31. Blood and Rose Balerina -- 27 pages.

32. Blood and Rose Balerina II -- 27 pages.  Crucification/demonic love.

33. Blood and Rose Balerina 3 -- 27 pages.  Bisexual/ involves Black butler.

34. Eros Orgy -- 26 pages.  Plants/flowers/angels/demon

36. Eros Orgy 3 -- 25 pages.  Demonic ballet teacher is about to finish her
off but is thwarted at the last minute by an angel who stabs him in the back.

37. Hot Summer in Scotland -- 22 pages.  Lesbian love in a castle.

38. Miss Universe -- 28 pages.  All contestants get locked up in basement;
Ms. Universe becomes sex slave @ top-secret night club.

39. Miss Universe II -- 28 pages.  She dances at the night-club when
gunfight breaks out & people get peppered with bullets all around her; she
just keeps on dancing....

40. Tennis Sisters -- 26 pages.  Nosy next-door neighbor (really stupid-
looking) develops fetish for raping 3 sisters who play tennis next door
(they're in their 20s).  His fantasy becomes fulfilled, but in the end
they get out their sporting rifles all of a sudden, count to 5 for him
to run away, and blow his head off.

41. Bathroom Rapist-- 28 pages.  Gangster hides in women's bathroom from
killers, but has to keep subdueing every woman that comes into stall.

Ron Jeremy is in a hot tub, on the phone, with a girl by the name
of Andrea Sutton looking at him.  Ron Jeremy sort of defies description.
He's looking...well, fat.   Sutton is blondish, tall, cute face.  He
admires her while talking on the phone, and we find out he's a mob boss,
making shady deals.  He eats her out for a while and then has sex
with her vaginally;she looks bored and Ron's cock keeps falling out.
He does manage to keep a phone conversation going most of the time, which is
kind of funny, but the scene is pretty bad.

We then see the other guy on the other end of the phone line; he
tells Jeremy he'll protect him from the polic which just that moment
are heading toward the house.  The scene cuts back to Jeremy, who
treis to hide from the police by faking a heart attack.  The girl
by this point has left; Sutton meets the other guy, played, I think,
byu Peter Rock (I had to compare with the credits and this was difficult).
She gives him a long and very erotic blowjob and then has sex with him.
Sutton seems to enjoy this much more than she did with Jeremy and the
scene is very well done, with decent music to boot.

Meanwhile (are you follwoing this?  :)  ), at a soap opera studio,
Cassandra Leigh, a short long blonde haired girl with a nice figure,
who looks about 19, is practicing lines with who I believe, again,
is Ken Dahl (not a very well known actor, I guess).  She gets
tired of the lines and says she wants "something else" and reaches
for his pants.  Dahl has a rather small cock.  Really small.  She
gives him a blowjob, which is decent but there really isn't much
there and her hand hides it most of the time.  He then has
anal sex with her, which lasts all of 5 minutes!  A very silly scene.
When the finish, you hear a rumble and the ceiling collapses in on
them, adn they are rushed to the hospital.

Hunter and Preta are now at the hospital, kind of wasting time.  This
scene is remarkably funny; you hear background stuff going on, including
things like "Attention patients; we have a 2 for 1 special; get one
multiple fracture, get the second one free!"  and "Insured patients
may come inside.  Uninsured patients, wait on the freeway in the
red zone.".  It's all background but it's pretty funny.  We then
see Cassandra Leigh rushed in (they recognize her) and her agent, played
by Ashley Moore; don't be fooled, Ashley is a guy.
Hunter and Preta realize that this is their chance to break into showbiz,
so they go to the agent's room to "flirt with him".  He is unconscious
for a while as they strip show in front of him; this is very well done,
because they are stripping, breathing near him, waving private parts
near him and he manages to keep perfectly still, which does actually
require some acting ability.  Moore's brief lines here and there
later indicate that he probably did acting occasionally.
Since stripping for him doesn't work, Hunter decides to take "drastic
action", and rips off the sheet exposing his cock, and sucks on it,
joined by Preta.  This si a very hot scene, as both girls lick
and suck him for about 5 minutes.  They then alternate having sex with him
while the girl not having sex licks' the other's breasts.  They all
seem to be enjoying themselves, and some funny stuff occurs as Hunter
tries to prove she can act by quoting Hamlet and such while fucking.

Preta puts her clothes back on and goes to Leigh's room, where she is
bored.  She gets up and begins to kiss Preta, and they engage in
a brief but very hot lesbian scene, where both seem to really ejoy
what they can do to the other.  The only problem with the scene
is very choppy editing, which is will discuss in a bit.

Meanwhile, negotations are occuring between the head of the nurses'
strike, played by Barbie Dahl, who is an attractive dark hair
woman with large breasts.  She talks to the negotiators, Monti
and a nondescript curly haired man, and asks forr a "tit for
tat" approach, and then opens her blouse.  Each of them sucks
on a breast and she takes turns fucking and sucking them.  She
is quite pretty and does this scene well; the negotiations complete
and she shoves Preta and Hunter out of the hospital, then looks
pissed that she had to go through with all that...

Preta and Hunter go back to the strip bar, and Dahl takes over
the hospital, sticking large rectal thermometers up people.  This
is, of course, only implied.  Jeremy and Moore appear to be in
pain afterwards; Leigh humorously seems to have enjoyed it.  Monti,
in horror, runs back to Preta and Hunter and pleads for them
to come back, which they do, and then Leigh and Hunter simultaneoulsy
have sex with Moore while Jeremy has sex with Preta, joined
by the nondescript negotiatior.  Leigh continues on the agent,
while Hunter gives two blowjobs (very very hot blowjobs) in a row
to Monti and a large black man who serves as Jeremy's agent.
Hunter keeps the hospital job; Preta goes on to become Jeremy's
wife and then Hunter is asked too join the soap.  Everyone lives
happily after.

This movie begins slowly but the ending scenes are very very
hot!  Humor adds to its appeal.  It's major problems are often
dorky music (it gets very repetitive and annying) and horribly
choppy editing; scenes jump around within scenes, and it is
ovious where cuts have occurred.

Beyond these problems it is not a bad movie however, and I recommend
it.  Unlesss you don't like Ron Jeremy, choppy editing, or dorky
music.  :)
