- As a manager in business for a few years I've learned that the manager need
- not have all the experience if the staff supporting them has some and the
- manager is willing to listen. A leader who is unwilling to listen to those
- following them will create disent and unrest and very likely miss good ideas.
-
- A good manager will act more as a mediator, accepting input and then making
- his choices, taking the initiative when necessary. While work can be done
- by simply giving orders, a better general attitude, and usually better quality,
- results from talking with a staff rather than at them.
-
- Disclaimer:
- This is just a general observation, I do not mean to inply that the AX general
- staff is all experienced not that the AA managers simply give orders. I have
- simply found that this holds throughout life and I felt this was a good time to
- bring it up....
