  11. I have recently become interested in Cichlidae, specifically the Ramirez Dwarf
  12. Apistogramma ramirezi as listed in my Simon & Schuster's Guide to Freshwater and 
  13. Marine Aquarium Fishes. In Barron's it lists this fish as
  14. Ramirez's cichlid, Ram or butterfly cichlid, Papiliochromis ramirezi.

  16. In the Barron's it states that "the most peaceable of cichlids" and very suitable 
  17. for community tanks. Thus my querey.

  19. My setup is 30 gallon, fresh, heavily planted with:

  21.  1 pair small (1.5") Angels
  22.  1 Kuhli loach
  23.  1 4" pl**o
  24.  1 chinese algae eater
  25.  1 pictus or pimelodius cat
  26.  
  27. Water quality:
  28.  
  29. 0 ppm Ammonia
  30. 10 ppm Nitrate
  31. 7.6 ph
  32.  
  33. Weekly 25% water changes, with Zip drops added.
  34. As you can see a somewhat community tank.

  36. Is this rare or hard to keep fish?
  37. Will this cichlid (a pair) fit in?
  38. Will they tear up my plants?
  39. Will they terroize the others?
  40. Which is true name? Or are there several varities of this type of cichlid?
  41. Any big gotca's with these?

  43. I saw some gold and blue rams at the store and they have the same style of
  44. fins, body etc. Are these the same? How would they do?

  46. Any additional info would be appreciated.
