- (1) I have an AquaClear 150 that came with a used 20-gallon tank (yard sale)
- which I discovered was missing the pin in the motor assembly upon which the
- magnet/impeller spins. In the parts breakdown for the AquaClear series of
- filters, this pin is not a separate part, but part of the "drive motor".
- The motor is the same on the Mini on up (except the 500) and only differ in
- the impeller. Is there any way to fix this cheaply, or should I just junk
- it? (New 150's are < $20 mail order).
-
- (2) Does anyone know where to get parts for old Sacem cannister filters?
- I have one on a 55G that has a broken clip and an occasionally leaky
- impeller seal.
-
- (3) Anyone have opinions on Ginger filter media (ie, is theirs really better
- than the filter manufacturer's media?) Their AquaClear-compatible ones are
- certainly cheaper than the AquaClear cartridges.
