- I have a pair of antique magnifying glasses I am trying to price. They have
- about a 3 to 4 inch lens, and the handle appears to be ivory. The handle
- is about a 4 or 5 inch stem, and then the handle turns into a head. The
- head looks like someone from the Shakespearean era. The handle is really
- ornate. There are no markings such as date or manufacturer. I believe the
- material is ivory. On one piece, the nose is chipped. It exposes some of the
- material underneath, which is a fairly bright white and a few sparkling regions
- (some sort of minerals?). If anyone has seen or knows anything about such
- magnifying glasses, please let me know via email at jsmith@owlnet.rice.edu
