- This point illustrates another issue that needs emphasis. Peter da
- Silva is not the only one who feels this way about the group vs. list
- tradeoff. There may be a number of people out there who would monitor
- a newsgroup on a particular topic but would not subscribe to a mailing
- list. So, the size of the mailing list may be smaller than the number
- of people who would read a newly created newsgroup. The vote is the
- way to see.
