- OBJECTIVE : To secure a position as a software engineer, with
- a special interest in the development and support of computer
- software involving structured methodologies for representation
- and analysis, dynamic programming and the design of optimization
- and interface algorithms involving computer graphics with
- application to CAD/CASE, data diagnostics in an open systems
- environment.
-
- WORK EXPERIENCE
- ---------------
- January 15th 1992 : AGRICAD INC.
-
- I have worked in developing software in the field of computer
- aided design for agricultural mapping systems. This software
- incorporates receiveing of real time data from satellites and
- processing the data through a GPS unit. I also generated
- interfaces between application and many popular databases. The
- software involves many graphics functions and is completely menu
- driven. The entire code is written in C. The graphics user interface
- was developed using MS Windows and SDK. I was also involved in
- contract programming requiring client/user interaction.
-
- Salary :- 32000/yr before annual performance review
-
- During my undergraduate studies in India I have undergone summer
- training at each of these firms at the end of which I have submitted
- training reports. Certificates were awarded after the successful
- completion of training and can be produced if necessary.
-
- June 1986 : TVS TORSION PVT. LTD.
-
- I completed intensive in-plant training and generated software
- for classification of various torsion products.
-
- July, 1987 : SIEMENS INDIA LTD.
-
- I studied new technology aspects of Superbreed Motors being
- manufactures in the plane and developed software to be used
- on a numericaly controlled machine.
-
- June, 1988 : TATA CONSULTANCY SERVICES
-
- I completed case studies of software consisting of 10 database
- modules and developed an eleventh module to generate reports
- from an integrated database.
-
- EXPOSURE TO COMPUTERS
- ---------------------
- Working knowledge of BASIC, FORTRAN, PASCAL, C, C++, Shell
- Programming, LISP, PROLOG and ASSEMBLY language.
-
- Worked on IBM-PC, IBM-PC-AT Compatible, DOS operating system,
- MACINTOSH II, SUN 3/50, SUN 3/60 workstations, SPARC station
- and Personal IRIS based on UNIX operating systems.
-
- Working knowledge of MS Windows, SDK, Resource Compiler, X11
- Windows and Graphics environment on UNIX and DOS operating
- systems and networking protocols like TCP/IP and X.25
-
- Worked on mainframe systems like IBM 3090, VAX and GOULD.
-
- PROJECTS IN SCHOOL
- -----------------
- M.S.
- ---
- An interface in CAD: This project involved the design and development
- of object oriented software for a menu driven graphics interface
- between two CAD software packages. Data structures to store coordinates
- of the primitives were developed. An ingenious data retrievel system
- was coded and the software was implemented using the X11 window
- environment on a SUN workstation and written in C. The project was
- sponsored by General Motors.
-
- Robust Pattern Classification: A typical problem in object oriented
- design, pattern recognition and inherent networking protocols is
- distinguishing between good data and bad data. In thie project a
- model was designed and generated to solve the above problem using
- Huber's algorithm. A menu driven graphical package was developed in
- C involving optimization techniques and dynamic programming. The
- implementation and testing of the software was performed on a SPARC
- station. The project was sponsored by the Office of Naval Research.
-
- Generation of software for a graphical interface with aspects of
- Linear Classifier Design including parametric and non-parametric
- density function estimations, feature selection and extraction and
- linear mapping for multi-distributed data.
-
- Simulation of a modified version of a back propagation training
- algorithm to a feedforward neural network with complex weights.
-
- B.S.
- ---
- Fabrication of a Memory Voltmeter to measure Impulse Voltages. This
- was a University-Industry collabration between my department and
- Westinghouse-Sethuramon Industries Ltd. (India).
