  45. Skills needed range from entry level programmers through
  46. software designers to researchers.  Any candidate for a
  47. position above entry level must have a background in one

  52. The work is located in the Washington D.C. area
  53. (Northern Virginia).  The current platform is a Thinking
  54. Machines Corp. CM-2 coupled with an Encore Multimax; the
  55. next generation system, for which design has already
  56. begun, will be on a CM-5.  Sun (UNIX) workstations are
  57. used for development and research.  The software work is
  58. primarily performed in variants of the C programming
  59. language; a working knowledge of C is required.

  61. For most of the positions available, applicants selected
  62. will be subject to a security investigation and must
  63. meet eligibility requirements for access to classified
  64. information.
