  13. Interactive Development Environments Inc.(IDE) was founded in 1983
  14. by Anthony I. Wasserman to develop and sell high quality, leading-
  15. edge CASE software, support integrated CASE environments,
  16. and provide support, training, and consulting services to help
  17. customers be successful throughout their software development
  18. process.  IDE's Software through Pictures is a family of
  19. integrated CASE development environments that supports the
  20. complete software development process for technical and
  21. commercial applications.

  23. The Technical Publications Group at IDE is looking for
  24. a technical writer to join a team of five writers who are
  25. developing user information in a variety of forms for
  26. Software through Pictures environments.  The writing 
  27. work is challenging, with significant opportunities for 
  28. new writing as well as the chance to help develop new 
  29. forms of user information access. 
  30.  
  31. Writers who are interested in the position should have:
  32.  
  33.    o   Experience with all phases of user information development
  34.        from specifications and software developer interviews
  35.        through preparing books for print production.
  36.  
  37.    o   Experience using FrameMaker 3.x.
  38.  
  39.    o   Knowledge of general programming concepts. 
  40.        Experience in writing about Ada, C, or C++ programming
  41.        tools would be a plus.
  42.  
  43.    o   UNIX experience. 
  44.  
  45.    o   Proven ability to handle technical material.
  46.        Knowledge of CASE tools, a programming language, or
  47.        database technology is highly desirable.
  48.  
  49.    o   Initiative.  This is a small group of talented people
  50.        who participate on product teams, assist in setting
  51.        the direction for technical publications, and take
  52.        ownership and pride in their work in a setting where 
  53.        user publications are valued.
