  21. Pref. Education : MS, BS/BA or equivalent

  23. Working as part of a dynamic team, the successful candidate will respond via
  24. telephone to customer requests for technical assistance, maintaining ownership
  25. of these requests from call initiation through customer resolution.  Technical
  26. assistance requests will be specific to INGRES products running in a UNIX 
  27. and/or VMS environment utilizing state of the art support tools to assist with
  28. problem diagnostics.

  30. We seek an individual with a Bachelor or advanced degree in Computer Science
  31. and/or 1 year Customer Support experience.  The individual will have some or
  32. all of the following skills:
  33.  
  34.          o System administration and/or working knowledge of UNIX and/
  35.            or VMS Operating System
  36.  
  37.          o Experience in C programing language (or equivalent 3GL) UNIX 
  38.            shell scripts and/or VMS/DCL
  39.  
  40.          o Application development experience using SQL, 4GL and 3GL
  41.  
  42.          o Two years experience with one or more of the following RDBMS
  43.            products:  INGRES, ORACLE, INFORMIX, SYBASE
  44.  
  45.          o Problem solving ability and excellent verbal/written 
  46.            communication skills
  47.  
  48.          o Previous experience supporting a software product in a large
  49.            commercial market place.
