  14. Northwestern University seeks a senior networking engineer in the Academic
  15. Computing and Networking Services.  The applicant would be responsible to
  16. prepare proposals for installation, maintenance and support of local area
  17. networks for University Departments.  The applicant would also install,
  18. maintain, troubleshoot network services and supervise others in these
  19. activities.  Other responsibilities would be to install and maintain a
  20. variety of network services on ACNS machines for the use of the entire
  21. university.  Familiarity with Appletalk and Novell networking is also
  22. important.  The applicant should also be able to help set policy and
  23. standards for networking at the university.

  25. The applicant must have at least 3 years of experience with networking.

  27. The applicant must have strong verbal and written communication skills.
  28. The applicant must be able to speak American english clearly and well.  
  29. An appropriate 4 year degree or equivalent is required.
