-
- I have a book of theirs called How to Form Your Own Corporation
- Without a Lawyer for Under $50.00. It was published in 1972, so
- they have been around for at least 20 years. At that time it
- seemed that they were encouraging people to incorporate in the
- state of Delaware, and would provide assistance for a fee (the $50
- quoted in the book title applied [then] to doing it yourself).
-
- Opinion:
-
- You may be able to save several $100 in lawyers fees by shopping around,
- either with The Company Corporation or locally. But there are other costs
- to incorporating besides first time legal fees, so it may not be as big a
- deal as it seems. My preference would be a local lawyer with reasonable
- rates, so that you have someone to provide ongoing legal services.
