  36. Job Description:    Sun Sysadm/Oracle DBA

  38.     Perform    Unix Systems Administrator and Oracle DBA
  39.     tasks in an MIS    environemnt.  Our client has a network consisting
  40.     of several Sun and Sun Clones.    The servers are    running    a variety of
  41.     Oracle based applications.  End    users are using    486 based PC's
  42.     connected to the server    via PC/NFS.

  44.     You will function as the primary Systems Administrator and Oracle DBA.
  45.     You will probably spend    the majority of    your time (~80%) doing UNIX
  46.     administration and the rest of time working with Oracle.
  47.  
  48.     In addition to routine administration tasks, you will be asked to
  49.     do a significant amount    of script writing to automate many of these
  50.     routine    tasks.    Therefore, a strong background in shell    programming
  51.     is necessary.

  54. Candidate Qualifications:
  55.  
  56.     - 3-5 Years Overall UNIX experience with extensive Systems
  57.       Administration experience.
  58.     - Strong Shell programming skills (C programming would be nice)
  59.     - Oracle DBA experience
  60.     - Knowledge of SunOS (4.x and Solaris 2.0) a big plus
  61.     - Strong communication skills
  62.     - An ability to    write C    would be a huge    plus.
  63.     - Ability to "land running".  The client is looking for    somebody
  64.       who, with little direction, can take over the    administration
  65.       functions.
