  44.         Perform Unix Systems Administrator and Oracle DBA
  45.         tasks in an MIS environment.  Our client has a network consisting
  46.         of several Sun and Sun Clones.  The servers are running a variety of
  47.         Oracle based applications.  End users are using 486 based PC's
  48.         connected to the server via PC/NFS.

  50.         You will function as the primary Systems Administrator and Oracle DBA.
  51.         You will probably spend the majority of your time (~80%) doing UNIX
  52.         administration and the rest of time working with Oracle.
  53.  
  54.         In addition to routine administration tasks, you will be asked to
  55.         do a significant amount of script writing to automate many of these
  56.         routine tasks.  Therefore, a strong background in shell programming
  57.         is necessary.

  59. Candidate Qualifications:
  60.  
  61.         - 3-5 Years Overall UNIX experience with extensive Systems
  62.           Administration experience.
  63.  
  64.         - Strong Shell programming skills (C programming would be nice)
  65.  
  66.         - Oracle DBA experience
  67.  
  68.         - Knowledge of SunOS (4.x and Solaris 2.0) a big plus
  69.  
  70.         - Strong communication skills
  71.  
  72.         - An ability to write C would be a huge plus.
  73.  
  74.         - Ability to "land running".  The client is looking for somebody
  75.           who, with little direction, can take over the administration
  76.           functions.
