- Saying the homeopathy can't work because it contradicts currently
- accepted theory doesn't seem a scientific attitude to me. In fact, it
- reminds me of the clerics who refused to look through Galileo's
- telescope at the moons of Jupiter because they "knew" all heavenly
- bodies revolved around the Earth. The scientific way to proceed is to
- conduct clinical trials and see if homeopathy (or accupuncture, or
- some other system of alternative medicine) works. Fortunately, the NIH
- has recently allocated $9 million to conduct tests of alternative
- medicine. So we will have some hard evidence on which to base our
- opinions.
