- There is a very thorough and specific process called a "proving" that is
- used to determine what symptoms indicate a homeopathic remedy. I think
- that a weak immune system is not so much a symptom as are the
- combination of diseases that affect AIDS sufferers. They don't get
- just any disease. The specific diseases they do get indicates a
- specific weakness in their healing ability, so treatment based on
- the symptoms of these diseases would be called for for homeopathy.
-
- Homeopathy does rely on the persons healing mechanism, so if it has
- been completely destroyed, homeopathy is not likely to help. By the
- way, I avoid the term "immune system" because it indicates only
- one part of the human healing capability. The parts of this
- capability that are in the mental and emotional sphere are ignored
- by allopathy, and I don't want to reinforce that.
-
- Both homeopaths and acupucturists have worked with AIDS and HIV+ patients.
- A local acupuncturist has written a book about prevention of AIDS in
- HIV+ people. My homeopath has treated an AIDS patient. He said the
- treatment was going well but the patient was not cured (yet?).
