  14. I began experimenting with the Bates method 5 1/2 years ago and have had 
  15. some success.  I was at -10 and -10.5 diopters when I started, and the glasses I
  16. wear on a normal basis now are at around -5 diopters.  I see probably about 
  17. 20/60 with them and have stronger glasses for driving.  My eyes improved 
  18. rapidly at the beginning when I was taking a class and focussing on the vision
  19. improvement techniques.  I've become rather lazy about using them and have not
  20. had much improvement lately.  I have noticed that the longer I work with computers,
  21. the less improvement I have.
