-
- There is little difference between eating a candy bar or drinking fruit juice.
- Both are concentrated sources of sugar. Yet, to some True Believers, fruit
- juice is somehow devoid of the horrible effects of sugar (whatever THEY might
- be--I'm not entirely sure.) Sugar is sugar is sugar.
-
- Drink all the coffee you like, if you're comfortable with it and aren't taking
- in too much caffeine. Unlike the unsubstantiated claims for grapefruit juice,
- caffeine actually does raise the metabolic rate, so it at least theoretically
- can help weight loss. In reality, it's probably not going to have a very
- strong effect compared to more direct actions like increasing your exercise
- and lowering your caloric intake.

- Why?

-
- Well, I don't get bloat or gas from coffee, soda, apple juice or orange juice.
- Why should I drink grapefruit juice?
-
- >It's got loads of vitamin C (okay, so do lots of other fruit juices, but

-
- It is a good source of vitamin C. Which is no argument for its replacing
- coffee!
-

-
- It most certainly does not.

-
- Why is it healthier?
