- So this thread is about exercising while playing music?
-
- That's really easy. Go to any hardcore (punk) show and you'll see bands
- pouring sweat in a hellish workout.
-
- I used to sing for Scarred for Life. Before a show I'd have to chug a carbo
- drink and down some fruit to prepare for the energy I'd expend. I'm talking
- CONSTANT contorting, diving, jumping, thrashing for at least an hour. And on
- top of this, singing/screaming at the top of my lungs.
- Granted it's more aerobic than anything but it leaves you
- panting and sweating like a pig. And just as intense, look at the drummer.
- That guy is going a mile minute, arms flailing nonstop and bass drum/highhat
- giving the calves a killer workout. The guitars/bass are also giving their
- forearms a vein popping pump as well as jumping all over the stage.
-
- And if you're not in a band, you can lose 20# by just charging the pit for a
- few songs. and try stagediving, surely to tax all your strength and stamina.
-
- bring your earplugs, wear shorts , no shirt, sturdy shoes
- and prepare for a FUN FILLED WORKOUT! don't worry you might not get hurt.
-
- strength,
- Rachim.
