  11. Hi Mary, We have 5 staff people at our school of 20-24 students. Two are 
  12. paid by the Vancouver School Board, and three are paid for by our non-profit 
  13. society. We all do counselling even though 3 of us are "teachers" and 2 are 
  14. "counsellors". I do a drug and alcohol group that lasts about 10 hours total 
  15. time, but many of our kids drink and do marijuana, hashish, and coke to 
  16. varying degrees, so it is constantly dealt with. Our rule is that a student 
  17. has to be clear headed during school hours, so if a kid comes stoned or 
  18. mentally trashed from recent taking of drugs [incl. alcohol], they are sent 
  19. out for the day. If it happens too frequently, they must come in with their 
  20. guardian [parent, social worker or house parent] and talk about why they want 
  21. to be in school [ this is before they are allowed to attend class again].
