- Maybe this is the wrong neck of the woods to be
- asking questions like this, but here goes...
-
- I am an amateurish keyboardist who has recently
- purchased a YAMAHA DX7-FDII/D keyboard. (Is it
- nice or what?) And... I am trying to mate it with
- my AMIGA 3000 computer... I have already produced some
- interesting offspring...
-
- What I really want to know is this: is there any
- MUSIC SOFTWARE (Amiga stuff, please) which is specifically
- made for editing patches (and/or patch "librarian")
- on the DX7... ? (for Amiga gringos, I checked out the
- Fred Fish collection... they seem to only have patch
- utilities for other Yamaha keyboards... I still have not
- seen a DX7 program, and that's mighty strange considering
- the DX7's reputation as a musician's instrument of choice.)
-
- For those who haven't tried a DX7, all I can say is "wow".
- Its capability for fine tuning and creating specifically
- engineered sound is awesome. However you almost need an
- engineering degree to operate it... there's about 200 different
- parameters to adjust on each patch production.
-
- If you have any news for me on software, please leave a message on this BB ECHO or SASKTEL BB Prince Albert. Thanks!
