- Hello Elizabeth, excuse me for butting in for you said in part.....
-
- EP> Hello Lynne. I run a high school library in Auckland, NZ.
-
- EP> present I have only limited room in our workroom for all this technology
- EP> so can only have a few students using K12. I haven't quite worked out
- EP> how to do this which is why it is so interesting reading this area and
- EP> getting ideas.
-
- The normal shortage of school phone lines creates a problem for
- alota teachers and students using the facilities of K12Net. We are
- the HUB for two school districts here in Central Ohio, and the way
- they chose to solve that problem was to create a BBS on the school
- network and exchange messages as a node into FidoNet and K12Net.
- Of course, this made work for the school MIS coordinator<g>. But it
- can be done as a class project.
-
- Using this method creates no need for a seperate phone line, and
- mail transfers can occur using existing phone lines after normal
- school hours.

- Peace and Happy Holidays..................................Ed
